Dear Club Member,
With the first social dance of the season upon us
I would like to inform you of a few changes to the way beverages, water
and pop, will be sold.
When you turn in your social ticket at the
entrance you will be asked if you wish to purchase a beverage this
evening. Instead of a ticket, as in the past, you will purchase a drink
cup at the cost of $2.00. This drink cup is yours for the evening and
enables you to drink as much water and/or pop as you wish, ie:
bottomless beverages. At the time of purchase, you should mark your
drink cup with a marker so that you can identify it as yours. To get
pop you will go to the bar where the varieties will be served from 2L
bottles. Ice will be available as usual. The idea behind this change is
to reduce the number of pop containers used during the evening and
therefore have fewer items in the recycle box.
The water, reverse osmosis, will be provided in a
large blue jug placed onto a dispensing rack. You would take your drink
cup to the water jug and fill your own glass. Once again the idea is to
stop using the small plastic water bottles and reduce the amount that
is thrown away or recycled.
Both these concepts are an attempt to make our
Club more ‘Green’.
The chart that follows is an updated version of
the gym floor sweeping schedule. Please destroy the previous schedule.

Dear Club Member,
Here are a couple of items that I would like to
bring to your attention.
The first item is the Club manual for this dance
year. It is sent to you as an attachment in pdf format. This format can
be read using Adobe Reader. Many computers come with this program
installed. If you know that you have it, double click on the manual
title and it will open. You may have to resize it but clicking on the
blue – button at the top of the frame. If you do not have Adobe Reader
you can download it for free at the following address. get.adobe.com/reader/
If
that does not work I could send you the manual in Word format. Please
let me know.
The
second item deals with dance workshops.
Once again this year we are going to offer dance
