has replaced the BBS with OPENBCM and is now using the callsign VE4WSC-1 on 145.010.

Have had some
problems with a power supply, so switched to a larger amperage and the
bbs seems to be perking along ok at 45 watts. I picked up a Icom IC27A
at Marmfest for the BBS, however once I brought it home, found out the
finals are not working.....so much for going to 25 watts for now....

I have placed a Midland 70-340A mobile radio (converted for Packet
Operation) that I picked up off Ebay and once
I put a small audio amp in the Microphone/tnc audio line, it appears to
be working well now at 30 watts out.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The VE4BBS bbs was located in West St James, in Winnipeg. It was started up at the end of July, 1997. Werner VE4UA had taken over as sysop from Doug VE4KV, who moved to Victoria, BC. The BBS was first known as VE4UA bbs and changed to VE4BBS on the 04 April 1999. I had to shut down VE4BBS at my qth due to personal reasons on 13 Apr 2002. Between April 2002 and July 2006, VE4BBS was operated by the Winnipeg Senior Citizens Radio Club, 598 St Marys Rd here in Winnipeg. It is again operational from the qth of VE4UA and It can be accessed on 145.010, 1200 baud packet.
