It was reported last night that the Manitoba Ranger was struck in his shooting eye and it may be some time before he will be able to see again. The Mayor has suggested that he leave town before next weeks annual Evade City Clean up. The Ranger said no way.
The extent of the injury was not known at press time but it was noted that Sarge Fearsom, sent a rider for the reknown vetinarian surgeon, Dr Lefty Labow out of  Plum Goulee. He has done a number of transplants on pigs in the past. This could be serious.
 
With Sgt Fearsom and the rest of the force off on vacation for the annual Fall Suppers curcuit, it leaves the one eye'd Ranger on his own. The Good Sgt stated that to postpone the suppers would  be a real disappointment to the ladies and all the cooking they have done. The Manitoba Ranger got the short straw on the Fall Suppers Ride and he will just have to deal with it.

All ye Baddies, Ruffians, Gun Fighters, et al take note. The Committee For Fair winter lodging and city limit rights, will gather at the edge of Town. Sunday October 3rd at 10 AM  Come armed to the teeth. We intend to have it out with these law dogs once and for all. It's now or face another long cold winter out on the Prairie.
