Dr. Furer is a clinical
psychologist and Associate Professor in the Dept. of Clinical Health
Psychology, Faculty of Medicine,
Dr. Furer's main research interests at the present time are treatment and assessment of health anxiety and fear of death. She is also presently involved in a CIHR-funded knowledge translation project evaluating access to information and treatment for mental health issues in young adults.
