Slingshot Turbo 2 is now available!
The T2 delivers top of the line performance in an extremely user friendly
package. Slingshot has always been on the cutting edge of innovation, making
kiteboarding fun and easy for all levels. Slingshot was the innovator of the One
Pump Inflation System and many other great features that turned the kiteboarding
industry upside down. While everyone still tries to catch up, Slingshot has yet
again stepped it up and redesigned the proven Turbo Diesel platform with the T2.
Boost Kiteboarding is stocked with Slingshot's new,
state-of-the-art bow kite, the Turbo 2.
At a glance, the Turbo 2 may appear to be a typical 4 line bow kite. A second
look and a test flight, however, will quickly reveal the kite's unique
characteristics. Slingshot redesigned the traditional bridle with dyneema
material, tested to 900 lbs and recognized to have the least amount of stretch.
This translates into kite flying consistency for your 5th and 50th session.
Slingshot also instituted loop to loop attachment points to prevent the bridle
from becoming tangled or snagging during relaunch.
Most bow kites have an insane amount of bar pressure; not the T2. The Turbo 2
utilizes a floating bridle system which reduces bar pressure and allows for 100%
depower when needed. Working in conjunction with its swept back wing tips, the
T2's continuously swept leading edge enables the kite to pivot freely. This
allows the rider more control and faster turning as well as increased range and
lighter bar pressure. New ergonomic one pump nipple placement on the leading
edge reduces overall drag.
The T2 comes equipped with the new 4-line Full Stroke bar. This bar is installed
with pulleys and configured 2:1, which means double the depower when sheeting.
Whether riding in the Slick at
Willow or in the surf at Grand Beach, the T2
relaunches in snap. Simply pull on one of the outside steering lines and the
kite flips over, moves to the edge of the wind window and pops back into the
sky.
When you buy Slingshot, certain things are standard. The T2 is no exception.
Equipped with the industry's original, proven and patented One Pump System,
rigging for a session is quicker and easier than ever. The Full Stroke Bar has
Slingshot's very own Active Stopper Ball. Like all Slingshot kites, the T2
backpack is awesome, offering places for a bar, kite fix kit and a board. The
pack is huge, offering lots of space no matter what size the kite is. Inside the
wing tips are webbed self rescue handles, facilitating the unpleasant experience
of getting yourself out of the water, and safely back to land.

Safety Reliability
The Slingshot Spreader Bar is setting the standard for reliability in
kiteboarding safety...one where the rider has full control. We call it RiderSide
Safety. This new safety system moves with the rider, not with the bar. So when
you borrow your buddy's kite, you'll have your own reliable safety system
already with you and in your control. And looking at some of the shabby stuff
out there, you'll need your own safety system.
Safety Versatility
The new RiderSide Safety System offers complete versatility. You can ride
standard with unhooked capability, or simply flip the shackle switch and ride
shackled-in if you prefer. You can do spins in both directions and your leash
will always spin with you. No more detangling yourself and your leash! Whichever
style you ride, the harness hook release is the same one-finger Hook Trigger
Release.
Safety Simplicity
The Slingshot Spreader Bar has taken kiteboarding safety to the simplest form.
You won't see dangling webbing, confusing straps, plastic clasps, and push/pull
options. Slingshot uses the most durable parts, designed together by our
in-house R&D team, for a clean and easy system. Safety should be simple, not
complex. The fewer parts you have to deal with, the easier it is to make a quick
