Weather Station Info

Oregon Scientific WMR968 cable free weather station.

It is a complete station that measures temperature, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure,

relative humidity, dew point, rainfall amount and rate.

The station is located at my residence in the southwest end of the city of

Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada.

Station Elevation is 260 meters above sea level.

My station is set up on my shed in the back yard.

The instruments are poled every 10 to 15 seconds by the weather display computer in the house.

The display unit communicates with the instruments using 433 mhz.

It works at all temps from –50 C to 60 C. The operational limit on the relative humidity sensor is –10 C.

In the winter the rainguage is shutdown and taken inside.

I use a snowguage to measure snow depth, which is reported on my snowfall page.

My weather station monitor program is FreeWx-WI Version 1.02 (build 26/01/06).

It is just an excellent weather station program, much superior to any other weather station program for the WMR-968.

FreeWz-WI is freeware and available for download to any WMR-968 weather station owner.
