About the Wiebe family
Albert I. Wiebe, born in 1909, was a painter in the old days. He saw
the roller take over the task of painting larger areas. In years past,
the paint brush was the only tool used to apply paint. The sprayer Albert
used is now and antique and has been replaced by modern spray equipment.
Albert's own words to his children were these: "Never roll paint
with a dry roller." He also left behind a legacy of honest business
ethics and quality workmanship.
Albert's son, Ralph, was born in 1947. He studied painting as a trade
at the age of 18 receiving his diploma in 1968. Ralph started his painting
career, and the logo on his first truck was "We Work Wonders With
Walls". For almost 40 years he has been doing just that. Hard work
and years of experience helped him earn a good reputation enabling him
to see steady growth in his business.
Ralph’s son, Phil, was born in 1975, becoming
the third generation painter. He enjoys working with his hands,
creating finishes, and learning new techniques for ever-changing
products. With many hours of work experience and studying, he
challenged his exam and received his diploma in 2001.
Over 50 years of combined knowledge in addition to a
keen interest in what they do gives the Wiebe family a great
opportunity to provide an excellent service to Steinbach and the
surrounding area.
In 2006 the Wiebe family built a new shop to accommodate
their growing business, moving from rural Kleefeld, MB, to the city of
Steinbach. They now have a retail store carrying the General Paint
product line. In addition to good quality paint they sell an extensive
line of faux finishing products which are all water based.
Ralph and Helen, Phil and Brenda and growing family of
3, Adrianna, Willliam and Jayda, would like to provide you with at
least another 50 years of quality products, superior service and solid
advice.
Time has changed the painting industry in many ways but
for the Wiebe family some things stay the same throughout the years.
Quality workmanship and honest business ethics are never old-fashioned
and they never go out of style.
