Subdistrict #42 - Big Grass Marsh Area

 
map for watershed 42   The Big Grass Marsh Area has an area of about 447 square miles. The watershed originates just east of Eden at an elevation of about 1200 feet and water flows east to the Big Grass Marsh. The total drop is about 350 feet over about 25 miles.

 

Key waterways in the watershed include Jordan Creek, Lach Drain, Pratt Drain, Watson Drain, Crane Drain, Pembrooke Drain,Gopher Creek and Big Grass River.

This subdistrict includes portions of the RM's of Westbourne, Lakeview and Lansdowne.

The subdistrict's annual maintenance budget is over $100,000.
