Year 2003 has brought us back to a good old fashion winter, with bright blue skies and sundogs on either side and cold frosty days. As our fore fathers would say "We'll have a nice summer.
We had our monthly meeting with about the same number of members present. It was nice to see two of our new members present, continue to do so.
February is always a slow month, but we did have our annual Joint Executive meeting with the Branch. The Branch Executive was out in full force but our Auxiliary Executive was sparse. Sorry that more were not in attendance.
By the time this report goes to press the Sports Foundation Tea will be over, but we wish you a very successful afternoon.
Ladies don't forget Sunday, March 16th as it is the Auxiliary District Meeting at Sir Sam Steele Branch. The meeting is always of interest especially to our newer members. I hope many attend.
Then don't forget our Spring Luncheon, Sunday, April 13th.
To the shut ins and those who are ill with colds, I wish you all God's Blessings for a speedy recovery.

History

The Ladies Auxiliary received their charter on May 25th 1927.

The object of the Ladies Auxiliary is to support and work with our Branch Officers and Executive on many different programs, ranging from work with our DVA representatives and Veterans Affairs to assisting the Branch with their annual Poppy Campaign, and other social gatherings held at the Branch.

The Ladies Auxiliary raises there funds by holding Luncheons, Teas, Bake Sales, and Raffles. A portion of these funds are donated to the Branch, given out as student bursaries, used to support local school programs, and given to many other charities.

In addition the Ladies Auxiliary hold two Social Functions a year, June and December just prior to Christmas.

The Ladies Auxiliary meet at the Branch the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM, except the months of July and August.
