It is the Archangels who are most often
sent to Earth to do God's bidding and to deliver
|
|

"And
it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought
for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance
of a man.
And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, GABRIEL, make this man to understand the vision. So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision." "And I Daniel
fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's
business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it."
|
| And Daniel speaks again of the Archangel Gabriel. |
"Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man GABRIEL, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. |
| In Luke 1, we read that Gabriel the Archangel, appears before Zacharias to predict the birth of his son John (the Baptist) and before Mary to predict the birth of her son, Jesus. |
And
the
Angel said to Zacharias
"....... I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God, and am sent to speak unto thee and to show thee these glad tidings.” |
| And later in Luke 1, we read |
"And in the sixth month the angel GABRIEL was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, |
|
Michael, the Great
Prince, is mentioned a number of times in the Holy books of the Old
|
| In Daniel 10, he is called "one of the Chief Princes, who came to help me". |
| In Daniel 12, we read: |
| And at that time shall MICHAEL stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book." |

| In Jude 1, we read: |
"Yet MICHAEL the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee." |
| And in Revelations 12, we read: |
"And there was war in heaven: MICHAEL and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." |
