The game season also affords good hunting. There are Black Bear, Duck, and Grouse. etc.. in season. For those who wish
to make a combined Spring or Fall fishing and hunting trip, it is an ideal vacation and one you won't want to miss. Plane service to
remote areas is available and is provided by experienced pilots.
We have boats, motors, fish freezing service, gas, oil, tackle, fishing licenses, groceries and a laundromat available for you. We are dealers for Suzuki outboards quad runners, Husqvarna chainsaws, and Stihl chainsaws. Qualified mechanic on duty for repairs and parts. |
| 2008 Non Resident Black Bear Hunts
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
Hunting with a rifle, bow or muzzle loader are legal. We have Black Bears in this area but you can look forward to getting an off color such as Chocolate, Cinnamon, different shades of Brown colored Bears. Fishing for Northern, Walleye and Lake Trout can be enjoyed while not hunting. If you are lucky to get your bear early in the week, you are welcome to fish the rest of the week. Arrive on Sunday and depart on the following Saturday. Our spring season is the last 2-3 weeks of May and the first week of June each year. Fall season is the first 3 weeks of September. Past success rate has been 95% rifle and 90% bow. We have a limited number of licenses available, so book your hunt early. All hunting is in allocated areas. The 2000 fall bear hunt produced a trophy black bear that weighed in at 532 pounds . Live field dressed weight was over 600 pounds. Names and addresses of past hunters available on request.
