The Run

A beautiful scenic trail in one of Canada's National Parks- Riding Mountain
National Park.

This trail is rough and tough! Challenging! The trail runs round Moon lake in a 10km loop. So far the event has not been stopped by moose or bears but they have certainly been spotted on the day. There are some hills and some flats (alright more hills that flat but the hills are mainly gentle slopes). The volunteers are fantastic and the setting is beautiful. All the runs start and end at the cook shack. Please see the run day info for specific start times. Brunch, snacks and lunch will be served free to all volunteers and participants. There is a wind up dinner in Dauphin at the Rec center.

Raising Money for the Parkland Humane Society

The PHS was founded in 2000. In that time we helped countless animals get placed in good homes as well as run a neuter/spay program.
With PHS volunteers, a hospital risitation program has started where animals visit hospitals & personal care homes. We also offer education programs to school children to start them off on good pet care.
We are now in the process of raising money for a shelter. We envision this building to be a community resource as well as a non-kill shelter for the animals. See our website for for more info.
