    Le voyageur sourit quand il entend
    le son qu'arrive sur place,
    donc il reconnait l'appel des vêpres
    par les cloches de Saint-Boniface.
    Les cloches de la mission romaine
    q'appellent les deux tourelles
    les bateliers sur la rivière,
    le chasseur sur la plaine.

    To the sound that grows apace;
    Well he knows the vesper ringing
    Of the bells of St. Boniface.
    The bells of the Roman Mission,
    That call from their turrets twain,
    To the boatman on the river,
    To the hunter on the plain!
