Asessippi Ski Hill - Open in December of 1998. Featuring F.I.S. standard Alpine runs, snowboarding terrain & halfpipe, downhill tubing park plus much, much more.

Inglis Heritage Grain Elevators - The elevators date from 1920, 1922, 1925 and 1941 and have been designated a National Historic Site because they are both architecturally and mechanically intact and unaltered.

Frank Skinner Nursery & Arboretum Trail - 31 kms north of Russell on highway 83, the Frank Skinner Arboretum Trail is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the work of Dr. Frank Skinner. The trail features the site of the original Skinner home, the abandoned nursery, historical green house, native vegetation such as trembling aspen, poplar, wild willow, limber pine, and a modern working nursery operation. Rivendell Cross Country Ski Area - Rivendell Cross Country Ski Area is located west off Highway 83, 32 north of Russell. It features 25 km of groomed and traced cross country ski trails which follows the Assiniboine Valley. Most of the trails are wind sheltered and are groomed regularly. Rentals are available. Fishing - Lake of the Prairies is stocked with world class walleye, northern pikes and perch. While Spear Lake has good trout fishing. In the winter, there is ice fishing for the hardy. Check out the Big 7 Lakes for excellent fishing.

Russell Golf Course & Driving Range - Located just a short drive (5km) east of town on Hwy 45, the Russell Golf Club welcomes all visitors to it's scenic 9-hole golf course. Phone 773-2969.

Swimming Pool - Located just one block from the Boulton Manor is the Russell Outdoor Swimming Pool. The Pool is open from June to September with full lifeguard service.
