Check out Wildfowl Carving Magazine for articles on carving , painting and habitat construction.
The Spring 2009 issue contains an article on the construction and painting of the habitat
(exploded cattails) shown in the cover photo on the left.

Starting with the Winter 2010 issue, a three part article was published on carving, painting and
building the habitat of a Baltimore Oriole. The Winter issue contains the carving article. The
painting is described in the Spring issue. The construction of the habitat (silver maple branch and
leaves) was described in the Fall 2010 issue. The cover photo of the Spring (25th Anniversary)
issue features the picture of the finished piece.

I am currently working on another series of articles on a carving and painting a group of northern
gannets (in miniature). The first article should appear in the Spring 2012 edition of
Wildfowl
Carving.
A picture of the finished piece appears in Gallery 2.
