successful carving competitions in Central and Western Canada.
He is also a member of the Adanac Carving Club and Les Gens de
Bois Carving Club in Winnipeg. He frequently offers courses
in carving songbirds, waterbirds and raptors and does multi-day
workshops on habitat design and construction.

Tom's carvings feature decorative songbirds, shorebirds, raptors
decorative waterfowl and decoys. He has been participating in
carving competitions across Western Canada since 1999.

Tom lives in Winnipeg with his wife Dorynne. They have three adult
children. When not carving or teaching, Tom spends his time
relaxing at the cottage and volunteering as a spotter with Civil Air
