| Rachael & Kevin May 29, 2002 |
Kevin Toyne and Rachael have known each other for a number of years, but in January or February of 2002, the friendship turned into romance. It wasn't long before romance turned into a ring and wedding plans began being made. The wedding is to take place December 28, 2002 at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Winnipeg - the parish which Rachael and Kevin and Troy and Calyn attend on a regular basis.
We really like Kevin. He is bright, hard-working, and gets along well with a wide range of people. He is in his final year of law school, which brings the number of lawyers in our immediate family to three (not counting Chris, who has a law degree, and Troy's former wife, Tracey, who is a lawyer for the Canadian government!). However, he has one trait which which really gets up our nose: he is a "Vegan" - declining to eat not only meat, but also dairy and eggs - but he's so likeable that we forgive him this particular excess.
Upon graduation in May 2003, Kevin will be articling in Toronto. The move to Canada's centre of gravity will be sad for us, but excellent for Rachael, for there she will be able to further her opera career.
