James Walker, the son of James Walker and Mary Copland was born October 29, 1856 at Footie Park, Corse, Parish of Coull, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. James Jr. married Mary Jean Chalmers, September 2, 1881 at the Toll of Corse, Coull, Aberdeenshire. Mary was born November 18, 1856 at Norham farm, Corse, Coull. She was the daughter of Margaret Gilbert and William Chalmers.
James and Mary had a family of nine children, six girls and three boys. Mary died on September 17, 1931 at Old School House, Downies, Portlethen, Aberdeenshire. James died on July 30, 1932 at Old School House. They are buried at Portlethen Cemetery.

James Walker married Helen Munro and they had four daughters and one son.
Alexander Lucas Walker married Margaret Doo Paterson and they had three sons and three daughters.
