MOODY:
My Moody family came from the Counties of Carlow and Wicklow in Ireland to Ontario in the 1830's or 40's. They went first to Leeds County and then to Perth County before venturing further West. This family originated from Thomas Moody who was born on April 10, 1805 in Ireland and Ann Driver who was born on April 29, 1811 in County Wicklow, Ireland. They had a family of twelve children some of whom were born in Ireland and the rest in Canada. Ann died on February 5, 1884 and Thomas died on September 3, 1896. They are buried at Morris, Manitoba, Canada. Their children are as follows:
Henry Moodie married Sarah Ann Page and they had two sons and three daughters.
William Moodie married Josephine M. Peck and they had six sons and three daughters.
Mary Moodie married William Pollard and they had ten sons and three daughters.
John Moodie was never married.
George Moody married Jane Gibb Earley and had three sons and one daughter.
Elizabeth Moody married William Bickford and they had five daughters and two sons. She was married secondly to William Hunter and they had two sons.
Edward "Ned" Moody was married to Carrie _____ and they had at least two daughters.
Thomas H. Moodie was married to Emeline _____ and they had at least one daughter and one son.
Joseph Moody was married to Rosella Mary Jane Mitchell and they had six daughters and six sons.
Jane Sarah Moody was possibly married to George Earley or _____ Wells.
Catherine Editha Moodie was married to William Code and they had seven sons and four daughters.
Emily Melissa Moody was married to James Nettleton Lewis and they had two daughters and three sons.
