Edward repaired another Icelandic spinning wheel - that makes three Icelandic wheels he repaired in 2003.  Many Icelandic people emigrated to the Canadian prairies so we are finding more of these wheels.  It is always amazing to see them transformed with a few repairs, stain, polish and TLC.  Edward made a new flyer for this one copied from another Icelandic wheel he repaired.  He also made a new footman and a turned a peg that was missing.  Liz, owner of the wheel, had removed the stain and finish from some parts when she tried to clean it so Edward applied some stain and finish and polished it up. We returned the wheel to Liz when we traveled to Edmonton in early November and she was delighted with its transformation.  Jo-Anne test-spun on it and hopefully, Liz is spinning happily on it now.   Liz's son supplied the "before" pictures for us.
