Here are a few tips that will keep your wooden spinning
and weaving tools in great condition:
- Do not leave wooden spinning and weaving tools in the sun, particularly in a
vehicle in the summer. Sun will age wood and high temperatures will
dry out wood and may cause parts to warp.
- Do not subject wooden spinning and weaving tools to excessive moisture.
Moisture will cause parts to swell and may cause warping. You may find
that the joints of the niddy noddy fit more loosely in the dry winter months
and more tightly in the humid summer months.
- In assembling or removing the arms of your niddy noddy, twist the
arms in a clockwise direction, as viewed from the end of the niddy noddy
closest to you.
