University of Winnipeg Faculty Ratify Four-Year Contract

The University of Winnipeg Faculty Association (UWFA) membership voted today to ratify a four-year contract with the Board of Regents. Negotiators arrived at the agreement through mediation earlier this week.

The contract was approved by a vote of 91.5% in favour of ratification.

The contract allows for pay increases over four years that bring salary floors in line with those at Brandon University. As well, the agreement contains no days-without-pay in the second, third and fourth year of the contract.

The contract is retroactive, effective April 1, 1997.
