Tumble In the Snow

She stepped outside, exhaled sharply, there was so much snow on the ground!
Large flakes of the stuff settled around her shoulders, creating a cool mantle that surrounded her even while her coat kept her warm.
She had never liked the cold, never liked the wetness that was associated it, but today, she found that its crispness carried a promise of hope and happiness.
A few flakes landed on her eyelashes, she blinked and they tumbled down her face and quickly melted.
Having left her gloves inside, she hastened inside to find them, so that she might better enjoy the first snowfall of the season. As she passes through the foyer, she caught a glimpse of her relection in the mirror: her cheeks were slightly flushed with pink, snow glistened in her hair as it melted, and her eyes contained a shine unlike any other. She quickly rescued her gloves from the drawer where they had spent all winter sleeping, and ventured out forth into the wintery wonderland.
It was so beautiful, to be wandering among the trees as the sun worked its way up into the sky and the birds chirped their hellos.
She wandered as such for close to an hour, lost in her own hopes and dreams, that she was stunned when a soft mound of snow gently collided with her back. She whirled around, reached down for some snow of her own, and hurled it in the general direction of her assailant. Her lucky shot hit him straight in the face, but the snow was not packed hard and so it did no harm.
"Ow! Darn you! How'd such a pretty girl like you learn to throw like that?" he asked laughing and wiping snow off his face.
She laughed, "you taught me, remember?"
Ah, so he did remember. For just over year they had been dating now, and how to throw a ball properly was just one of many things he had taught her. "Alright fair enough. You got me. But at least I'm strong enough to do this!"
And with that, he picked up her lithe young body, deposited her lightly in a snowbank, and jumped in after her. Laughing, they embraced in the snow, dumping snow down each other's backs as their bodies formed a melted indentation in the snow.
She rolled on top of him, kissed him, then helped him to his feet.
"You are the best boyfriend ever, do you realize that?"
She wrapped her arms around him, and kissed him again, "Shall we go back to my place to warm up?"
