Tears of Pain

We never let us see each other cry,
maybe that's while it failed - we never let down our guard around each other.
We both wanted to, both tried to,
yet, looking back, its still there,
The petty fights, the distrust, this is what it all stems from:
you not trusting me.
Did I trust you in return? I thought so,
but maybe it wasn't enough,
maybe it would never be enough,
But still I try.
Those tears unspilled in your eyes, let them rain down,
cleanse your heart.
These words in my heart, let them reach to your eyes,
Take my hand,
let me guide you to that new world we both so very much wanted to travel to,
together,
as one.
All is not lost, we just have to remember,
it was never meant to be easy,
and we promised to persevere, to keep on trying even when the pain became unbearable and it would have been so much easier to give up.
Don't give up.
Take your hand in mine, there is a world out there waiting to be discovered.
But first, let show each other that we really can cry.
Our tears will explain all that we cannot say,
Like rain our tears will wash away the pain.
