Ochre Landfill is located 1/2 mile North of PTH #5 on Road 97 West
Makinak Landfill is located 1/2 mile West of the junction of PR 480 on PR 582
Summer - April 1st to October 31st

Tuesday and Thursday 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
MAKINAK
Wednesday 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 noon

Please SORT your garbage. Used oil containers are provided at the Landfill site. Containers are available for oil filters and oil containers as well.
Pesticides MUST be rinsed thoroughly or they will be refused. NO treated seed in the pit. NO batteries to be put in the pit - place by the building for recycling.
Please ensure your loads are secured when hauling to the landfill site to prevent littering.
Garbage pick up is weekly at the Village of Ochre River and the 5 beach areas on Monday's.

A Blue Box Program is operating in the Village of Ochre River and at the 5 Beach Areas.
Depot recycling is available at the Ochre River and Makinak Landfill sites.
Please sort recycling into glass, paper, cardboard and mixed bins.
