The R.M. of Ochre River is situated between Riding Mountain National Park and Lake Dauphin. The Villages of Ochre River and Makinak are situated within the municipality. The R.M. has a population of 929. Ochre River is situated 16 miles from the City of Dauphin and 10 miles from the Town of Ste. Rose du Lac.
