"River of Life"

Strip piecing, hand appliqué, hand quilting.
Hand-dyed and commercial cottons and mixed fibres.
Representing the Winnipeg River near
Pine Falls, MB, the quilt was a gift to the Church of the
Advent [Anglican] and
dedicated on the parish's 60th anniversary in 1997.
The quilt was shown in the Northern
Juried Art Show, Flin Flon, MB, in 1997.
"River of Life" was hung in the liturgical fibre
art show at Grace Church-on-the-Hill, Toronto, ON in September-October
1999. The show was part of the 125th anniversary celebrations for Grace
Church-on-the-Hill.
The Church of the Advent is part of the Parish
of Springfield, Diocese of Keewatin.
