The Phoenix Stole

This phoenix stole was commissioned
for the Rev. W. Wiegert of Delta, B.C. on the occasion of
the first ever Global Multifaith Conference for University
Chaplains held at UBC in 2000.
There were 400 chaplains from 30
countries and 7 world religions in attendance. Every
continent except Antarctica was represented.
The Rev. Bill Wiegert served at that
time as Lutheran Chaplain at UBC as well as working as a
deployed staff person of the ELCIC, coordinating campus
ministry across the country. In 2001 he moved to parish
ministry in Calgary, Alberta.
