The banner represented the Northern Region of the Diocese of Keewatin at the 1992 General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada in Toronto, ON. The theme of the Synod was "For One and For Many," hence the name.

The viewer sees the Big Dipper 'pointing' to the Host/moon which rests above a chalice-shaped moon-shine. The Aurora Borealis appears in the night sky. Northern forest is the background to a lake, with Canada geese in the foreground. Geese were chosen as the image because they mate for life, reminding us of God's steadfast love for creation.

The Cree syllabics tell the name of the diocese-- "Keewatin" means "north wind."

First prize-- Fibre Arts at the 1994 Northern Manitoba Juried Art Show, Thompson, MB.

Photographed in the Chapel of The Bishop Strachan School, Toronto, Ontario.

The banner hangs in St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, Thompson, Manitoba.

"For One and For Many" is owned by the Diocese of Keewatin.
