World Organization of the Scout Movement - Want to see what's happening in Scouting around the world?  Check out the World Scouting site to find out what you can do to become part of the Scouting Brotherhood.

Scouts Canada - The official Scouts Canada web site.  Here you will find all the information you'll need about Scouts Canada.  Parents can also find out about the Scouting program and Scouts Canada's policies.  Leaders can find help with their programs, forms and the current issue of the Leader Magazine along with links to some helpful resources.

Scouts Canada,  Manitoba Council - For all the latest information and updates about local events and activities check out the Manitoba Council web site.  You'll also find links to the Service Areas and contacts at the Council offices.

MacScouter - An excellent Scouting resource with lots of songs, stories, skits and activities along with links to Scouting sites cross the globe.

Your Sky - Planning to do some star gazing but don't have a star map?  This site lets you build a star map for the location and time you are planning to see the stars.  Just enter the latitude and longitude of your observing site and make your star map.  Once the map has been created, you can adjust it for a specific time and day and select the details you want to see.

Some notes when making your star map.

bulletFor observing sites near Winnipeg, use a latitude of 49o 54' N and longitude of 97o 14' W
bulletThe observing time must be entered as Universal or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).  For Winnipeg add 6 hours to your observing time when on Central Standard Time and 5 hours when on Daylight Savings Time.  (If you will be star gazing at 8:00pm CST enter a GMT of 2:00am.)
bulletSet the colour to White on Black or Night Vision
bulletDisplay the Moon, planets, constellation outlines and names
bulletShow stars with magnitude brighter than 5.5 (these are the stars that are normally visible to the naked eye).
bulletWhen out star gazing, use a red light to read you star map to help you keep your night vision.

Kididdles - Looking for a song but don't know the lyrics or melody?  Check this site out.  It has lots of songs and melodies to help you plan your music night or campfire.

City of Winnipeg - The official City of Winnipeg web site.  On it you will find a calendar of events taking placing in the city.  Check it often for tour ideas, special events and activities to supplement your program.

Province of Manitoba - This site has lots of information about our the Province.  On the Travel Manitoba site you will find information about historic sites, camping and hiking, museums, fairs and festivals.

Government of Canada - The Government of Canada site has links to all Federal government departments.  There's lots of information about Canada, the environment, conservation, government and  links to all the provincial web sites.

About Canada - Ever needed to find information about Canadian society, government, economy or land?  Do you know the history of the Canadian flag and national anthem?  Check out this Government of Canada web site with all the information you need to help your Scouts learn about our great country.

Travel Manitoba - Search this site for activities, tours and history sites throughout Manitoba.  Two historic sites you may want to check out are the Manitoba Glass Factory (Provincial Heritage Site) located in Beausejour and the Pinawa Dam Provincial Heritage Park near Pinawa.

The Manitoba Museum - This site has all the information you need to plan an outing to museum, planetarium or  science gallery.  You'll also find information on the many child friendly activities and programs that the museum offers including the MuZZeum Sleepover.  Check out the site regularly for their seasonal based programs and activities.

Chief Scout Award - This site contains all the information you will need to help guide your Scouts achieve the Chief Scout Award and all the resources needed to document their achievements.
