Sakura Courtesan Cat - Acrylic on 140 lb paper 8x10

Miss Kitty is dressed as an Edo era courtesan, or Oiran. I wanted this painting to be a riot of color and fun. The iris on the kimono is one of my favorite flowers, and the carp symbolizes strength and persistance.
