The Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba was formed in 1949 and has grown to represent some 32 Federate members, as well as many individual members and supporters.
We welcome individuals and organizations to join Provinvial Council.

Our September meeting will be held on Thursday, September 18th, 7:00 at Success Skills, 440-500 Portage Ave., featuring Bev Suek,
speaking on the housing needs for older women.

A wonderful event was held on May 6th at Government House, Visiting Our Past, Building Our Future. The event celebrated the
completion of the Babs Friesen Councils of Women Archival Project and the Oral History Project. Written records from both the Council
of Women of Winnipeg, and the Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba were assembled, catelogued and depsosited with Manitoba Archives.
As well, Oral Tapes of 13 long time members of both Councils were made and transcribed and deposited with Manitoba Archives.
His Honour The Honourable John Harvard, and The Honorary Patroness of the Councils of Women of Manitoba, Lenore Bershied hosted us,
with Lenore Bersheid giving formal greetings. Deborah Romeyen provided specical music. There were many displays of the history and
work of both Councils. Over 100 members and guests attended and enjoyed this special occasion.
