Classes for Puppies
Puppy Manners and
Socialization Level One
Did you know that puppies have a Critical Socialization Period? Proper socialization of
puppies includes introducing them to as many positive experiences as possible before
they are 16 weeks old! Puppies should meet 150 new people and meet a pile of friendly
dogs during their critical socialization period. They should be exposed to different types
of flooring, indoor and outdoor conditions, and anything you think they will encounter as
adult dogs. This isn't as hard as it sounds! Take your puppy with you to pick up the kids
from school, take your puppy into work to show him or her off to your coworkers, arrange
puppy play parties, and attend a Puppy Manners and Socialization class!
Everyone with a puppy, or considering
a puppy, should read Dr. Ian Dunbar's books entitled Before and After You Get Your Puppy.
Dr. Dunbar has been kind enough to offer his books as free downloads.
These books are full of very valuable information and help for puppy owners! Click here
for your free copy of Before You Get Your Puppy and here for After You
Get Your Puppy.
Pawsabilities Dog Training's Puppy
Manners Level One is a clicker class designed to teach your puppy basic manners such as
sit, down, come, pay attention, and walk without pulling. We will address ways to
eliminate undesirable puppy behaviours such as biting and jumping up. This class also
includes plenty of play time to socialize your puppy to new sights, sounds, people and
other dogs! You will receive a clicker and a training manual packed with information for
you and your puppy!
Classes for Teenaged
and Adult Dogs
Basic Manners Level One
A clicker class for the teenaged or adult dog focusing on household manners, such as sit,
down, come, settle on your mat, pay attention, walk without pulling, and polite greetings.
This class is designed to prove that training can be fun for the entire family, including
your dog! You will receive a clicker and a training manual packed with information for you
and your dog!

Basic Manners Level Two
A continuation of the skills learned in Puppy and Basic Manners Level One. We will work to
increase reliability of trained behaviours and learn how to eliminate the clicker once
behaviours have been successfully trained. New behaviours include targeting, stand, back,
tricks, and more!
