Charles William Kontzie, the first son of Christian Frederick Kontzie and Jane Anderson (Drysdale) was born on September 13, 1885. Charlie, along with his father and brother, each purchased a quarter section of land in the RM of Arthur before 1930, and farmed. Charlie married Helen [Nellie] McCourt, circa 1910, and had two sons; Donald Cassidy, and Fred John. Nellie had emigranted from Glasgow, Scotland.
In 1947, Charlie and Nellie retired and moved to British Columbia. Charlie died in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1968, at the age of 83. He fell asleep on a bus and never woke up. Both Charlie and Nellie were buried at Fairlawn Memorial Park, in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Edwin John Kontzie, the second son of Christian Frederick Kontzie and Jane Anderson (Drysdale) was born on March 3, 1887. Edwin married Rosetta Schooley in 1907 and later had four children; Gladys in 1908, Orval Frederick in 1915, Gordon John in 1917, and Herbert Edwin in 1919.
Edwin, along with his father and brother, each purchased a quarter section of land in the RM of Arthur before 1930. Edwin and Rose later settled about 5 miles south of that on land previously owned by Charles Arthur Sankey, founder of the nearby Village of Waskada, and began farming there. This farm is still owned by Russell Gordon Kontzie, a grandson of Edwin and Rose.
A unique feature to this farm is that it has a scaled down version of a commercial grain elevator. Edwin built this elevator after helping to build the Manitoba Pool grain elevator along the railroad at Dalny, about a mile away. It was one of the first grain elevators built in Manitoba. Although the elevator at Dalny is now privately owned, the railroad is gone, nobody lives there, and Dalny was never home to more than the elevator manager and his family, Dalny still remains on maps printed of Manitoba.
Edwin and Rose moved to the Village of Waskada in 1947, when Gordon married. Their sons, Gordon and Orval took over the farm in 1947. Edwin purchased two lots on the newly developed west side of Waskada. Rose purchased another lot in Waskada in 1950, which was later lived on by one of the their sons with his wife, Orval Frederick and Jessie (Hainsworth). Edwin died in 1956, at the age of 69.

Florence Barbara Kontze, the first daughter of John Charles Kontzie and Georgina Mary (Hobson) was born on March 14, 1890 in Charring Cross or Jeannette's Creek, Kent County, Ontario.
