Anne Marie Klappstein, the daughter of Albert Klappstein and Catherine (Leng), was born in Redvers, Saskatchewan (or Havre, Montana) on March 6, 1905. She moved to Havre, Montana with her parents and brother Harry in 1907. After her father was killed in an accident, she returned to Redvers with her mother and brother. She attended high school in Redvers and went on to become a school teacher. While teaching in the Welwyn, SK district, she met her future husband William Lynn Jamieson. She married Lynn Jamieson in 1927 and they farmed in the area for many years. They settled in Welwyn, Saskatchewan and had three children; Catherine Ann, Jeune, and David.

Marie returned to teaching in 1950 and began many years of studying towards her degree, attending the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon for the final year to obtain her Bachelor of Education in 1964 at the age of 59. She moved to Moosomin with her husband Lynn and son David, where she taught high school until retiring in 1972. Lynn died in 1975, and in 1980, Marie moved to an apartment in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

She was an avid curler and sports enthusiast, be it hockey, football, or baseball. She had season tickets to Saskatchewan Roughriders games in Regina for 25 years. She travelled to Silver Brooms all over the world. She and Lynn motored from coast to coast. Anne Marie made many trips to Hawaii with family, the last time when she was 89.

In March 2002, she moved to the Thorvaldson Intermediate Care Center, where she enjoyed the cards and activities until the last few months. Anne Marie passed away in the St. Boniface Hospital on November 27, 2003.
