Expansion Plans - "Journey of Change"
N.A.C.M. is on a "Journey of Change." This journey will see the implementation of several major changes to the organization itself. The reasons for this implementation came about due to several items:
Upgrading of N.A.C.M.'s current facility at 160 Salter Street, is a constant issue, due to the age of the facility.
Security concerns with the present location. See crime statistics - - >.
The continual improvement of programs offered.
The need for a physical environment that will also be conducive to culturally based programs.
In terms of development in a culturally-appropriate environment, it was realized that N.A.C.M. would be better off securing property in the vicinity of Winnipeg and building another facility. It was realized that the need to acquire land as well for the purpose of building a new facility.
