Listening with Paint

it's happening now. the old building is alive with sound. school children from grades one to four have been visiting the arts centre for an adventure in listening that results in a trip to the studio upstairs where long handled brushes and jars of thick paint await. this week the children travelled thru time from a hundred years ago when the building was new and life was different to the present where they were introduced to an original work Plainsong by new music composer Walter Hekster, commissioned specifically for this project. next week - more Plainsong and more.
