Therapeutic Touch (TT), a contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing practices, was developed by Dolores Krieger PhD., RN., and Dora Kunz in the early 1970's
 
Therapeutic Touch is based on the conscious use of your hands to direct or modulate human energies for therapeutic purposes.
 
Therapeutic Touch is used in a variety of settings for purposes such as
"        Pain control
"       Relaxation
"       Promotion of physical, emotional and spiritual healing.
             

Level One -
"        The Level I workshop is designed to introduce the participant to the history, concepts, theory and practice of Therapeutic Touch.
"        It is an experiential workshop in which there will be ample opportunity to give and receive treatments.
"        The workshop will prepare the participant to give a basic TT treatment using the Krieger/Kunz method.
 
Level Two -
Prerequisite: Level I plus 2 case studies.
"        This workshop builds on the knowledge of Level I and introduces the modulation of energy via the use of intensity, imagery and colour.
"        The workshop will prepare the participant to do a more in depth treatment.
 
Level Three -
Prerequisite: Level I and II plus 3 additional case studies.
Healing the Healer: this workshop builds on Level I and II with a focus on the inner work of TT and a more in depth study of the chakras.
 
Time: 9am to 4pm
Saturday and Sunday
 
Facilitator: Lil Smith R.N., BScN.
 
Lil has long been aware that health includes mental, emotional and spiritual as well as physical factors. This led her to explore approaches such as Reiki, Healing Imagery, Meditation and Cranio-Sacral Therapy as well as Therapeutic Touch.
 
Involved with Therapeutic Touch since 1995, she has used TT to assist persons coping with issues such as stress, depression, pain management, wound healing, fatigue, HIV, cancer, colds, burns, and personal growth etc., as well as for simple relaxation.
