A figure of Hesperia as a horsewoman is engraved on the inner side in a wreath of laurel leaves, which form a gilt frame. She is dressed in a peplos2. Over this she is wearing a short mantle, which she is holding with her right hand, while the reins are held in the left. Her hair is bound with a veil, the ends of which flow freely behind her shoulders; she is wearing bracelets on both hands, and a necklace around her neck. The goddess is about to enter the sea which is indicated near her. Three fishes are swimming in the waves.
