Minalt Weimaraners is situated on 80 acres which are 40 minutes north of Brandon, Manitoba.

We moved to Canada from England in March 1996. "We" included Kim Parish (me) and my husband Ian, our three children (Lisa, Sam and Thomas) and our dogs: Sh. Ch. Gunalt Monogram (Monty) and Gunalt Wings (Wendy). Monty and Wendy both come from Gunalt Kennels in Leeds, England, which is owned by Stephen and Patsy Hollings (my brother and sister-in-law).

At the time of our move, we left Wendy in England, but she soon followed us. She was in whelp by Sh Ch. Gunalt Rover so "we" soon expanded to include 10 puppies in September of 1996. The birth of this litter was also the start of Minalt Weimaraners.

Those 10 puppies have done very well, both in pet and show homes. Five of Wendy's litter have become Canadian Champions, 3 have gotten their CD's in Obedience and 1 in Field Dog Junior trials. The "stars" of this litter include:

Sh Ch Minalt Rising Star (Chloe)
Sh Ch Minalt Silver Star (Shana)
Sh Ch Minalt Northern Star CD FDJ (Dusty) Obedience and Field Dog
Sh Ch Minalt Star Maker (Clay) CD Obedience
Sh Ch Minalt Morning Star (Ace)
Minalt Little Star (Jag) CD

Our second litter was born in August 1997 to Gunalt Wings (Wendy) and Sh Ch Gunalt Monogram (Monty). Of this litter, several are doing well in Obedience and 2 are now Canadian Champions:

Sh Ch Minalt Theakstons (Drake)
Sh Ch Minalt Tetley's Bitter (Aspen)

In the fall of 1998, we added a new member to our family, who hit the show room in the spring of 1999:

Ch Picalex Baraness of Minalt (Mell)

Visitors are always welcome to visit our kennels and meet both our 2 and 4-legged family members.
