LIVER BROWNIES

These are marvellous for training or show bait

1POUND LIVER ( Beef, Chicken, Calf or Pork) 1 BOUILLON CUBE OR PACKET (Chicken or Beef)
½ CUP POWDERED MILK (125ml) ½ CUP WATER (125ml)
3/4 CUP CORNMEAL (187ml) ½ CUP WHEAT GERM (125ml)
3/4 CUP FLOUR (187ml) 2 EGGS
1 TSP. MINCED GARLIC (5ml) or more 1/4 CUP PARSLEY (62ml)

Preheat oven to 350º. In a blender or food processor, puree liver, eggs, broth , powdered milk, parsley and minced garlic. In a large bowl, mix together all dry ingredients. Add wet to dry ingredients and mix well. Batter should be thick like muffin batter. If its too stiff, add a bit more water, if too thin, add more flour. Spoon into a well greased baking pan, spread evenly and bake for 30 minutes. Let cool and cut into brownie size pieces. Break off small bits to use as treats. Does not keep very long in the open but Freezes very well.

CARROT CAKE - make as above and add 1 large grated carrot to mixture

APPLE CAKE- make as above and add 1 medium grated apple
