RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

What to do on a rainy day Sigh! Its raining again. Seems like its raining all the time. What is a poor puppy to do on a rainy day? Well I'll tell you. Sigh and sigh again. That's how you have to start. Then you ring the bell to go outside, but when the door is opened and you see its raining, well . You just turn around and go back in Then, you run to the front door because it never rains out front, but Mom won't let you out front. Outside is the best place in the world what will you do all day if you can't go outside? So you go look mournfully out the window and sigh some more. And curl up with a chewie on the couch; not to chew it mind you but just to look pathetic so Mom will give in and give you treats to pass the time away. Then your sister grabs your tail, so you need to go chase her for a while, but in the meantime, when you weren't looking, your other sister steals your chewie. So you have to go steal it back and have a bit of a scuffle. During the scuffle , your first sister steals your prime spot on the Sherpa blanket on the couch, so then you have to go tell her to move her fuzziness off your spot, and there is another scuffle. And Mom says " what is the matter with the lot of you " and gives everyone a scolding.

Finally Mom throws you outside IN THE RAIN .and expects you to do your business. Miss goody two shoes sister will run right out to the dog run and pee. You however have to mince your way to the yard, lifting paws out of the wet grass one at a time. Yewwwww ..wet paws.. So you just turned around to go back in. After getting tossed out three times, you finally give in and pee. Meanwhile the rascal sister takes advantage of that and just goes out to the deck, circles the planter and goes back inside without Mom noticing. So two good little puppies are back in the house sopping wet and dripping all over. One heads for a cosy spot to dry off ..like Dads pillow and Mom scolds again to get back in the kitchen and wipe your paws. While Mom is wiping the paws of the two good little puppies, the other rascal puppy poops in the living room AND pees in the hall. So Mom cleans up and tosses the rascal dog outside. What's she thinking? Its kinda too late for that don't you think? Mom finally gives in and gives everyone a cookie. You eat yours quickly and then go steal the girl's cookies and there is another scuffle and everyone gets scolded again.

Then, she will load you all up in the car and take you to Petcetera for the afternoon where you can get treats and sniff and look at the bunnies and the fish and pick put a new toy and some treats. Then when you come home, Lo and behold its sunny. Well you could go play outside but nah .who wants to do that. You'd rather stay inside with your new toy and treats wouldn't you?
