So far I think we’ve been pretty successful incorporating two more teams and all the new players that go with that. Thanks to all players for heeding our message about aggressive play – things seem to be much better since then. The captains are meeting on Monday night to review a few things, including a couple of proposed rule changes and roster adjustments. Finally, congratulations to the Patriots’ Liam and Lisa, who will shortly be wed in holy soccerimony. Other Notes: Players must wear shin pads. Molded cleats (suggest shorter cleats) or turf shoes are recommended for the turf-style field. Indoor soccer shoes are also acceptable. Players must not wear jewelry on the field. This includes watches. Sports glasses or contacts are recommended for those that need eyewear. Players must abide by the facility rules contained in the attached Winnipeg Soccer Federation document.
