Joe McLellan is an Author, Educator, Storyteller and a Deacon in the Catholic Church currently assigned to the St. John Brebeuf Community in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is a skilled facilitator and storyteller who has a diverse resume which includes participation in the following:

  • Winnipeg Children’s Festival
  • Sun Dog Storytelling Festival
  • Festival Yukon Story Telling Festival
  • Winnipeg Fringe Festival
  • Winnipeg Folk Festival
  • Vancouver Island Children’s Book Festival
  • Northern Aboriginal Authors Tour

As well as storytelling sessions, workshops, retreats and presentations for many and various Canadian and American schools, education conferences, private organizations, corporate businesses and Catholic and ecumenical organizations and communities, Joe has also authored and co-authored several children’s books.

Matrine Therriault McLellan, Ojibway/Cree Native Canadian, and mother. She was born in Northern Ontario and has lived in Winnipeg for most of her life. She has been employed as a secretary, researcher, community development worker, court and medical interpreter/translator, office manager, social worker for a mandated child welfare agency, case manager for the severely handicapped, and a happy golfer. She co-facilitates the workshops and is co-author of the Nanabosho children’s books.
