TRACKERS EVENTS
JAN FEB MARCH APRIL MAY JUNE JULY AUG SEPT OCT NOV DEC

This evening was a very busy and fun night. We started with making simple bird houses and small animal homes for the upcoming winter. We did put together four larger homes for our furry friend's outback, which we will monitor all winter. As the evening continued our simple homes turned more complex, with more than enough room for a family. James takes the lead for the most rooms as he had a birdhouse with seven rooms. With a special thanks to those parents who helped out tonight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAXTON!! Tonight we headed out in search for animal tracks. Since the snow has held off so far, it was a little harder to find tracks. We did however find a couple. Dog tracks (from our dog Max) were found on the softer shoulder of the driveway in the loose gravel. We also found some deer tracks down one of the paths. As we looked up we found a large bird nest in one of the trees, looks like a Raven's nest. For the last 15 min. we took a walk back to see our animals and to teach the Trackers how we were getting them ready for the winter months.

Bon Fire!! This evening was perfect for a fire. We tried to plan fires during the summer but we all know what happened. RAIN! The Trackers roasted marshmellows and enjoyed the night around a huge fire. Each had to find there own sticks from the bush and then they had them sharpened. Cody found out how some plants protect themselves, as he had touched a thistle and recieved 5 or 6 tiny sharp hairs that can only be removed with a sharp edge. We removed them with a knife and he thought it was pretty cool. We decided to have a glow hunt next week.
