To start tonight off we talked about how to tell time and direction without a watch or compass, like in the old days. We learned about things like where the sun rises and sets, what side of the tree moss grows on and the sundial. We set up a sun dial in the yard so they can see it change as the sun moves. After practicing on our compasses, we took turns picking a direction to turn using memory. It will take time for us all to be facing the same direction but it is a whole lot of laughs to see us trying. All the kids found it interesting to find out that the majority of moss on a tree will grow on the north side of a tree, creating a natural compass. We were sorry to see that Brendan missed tonight as we held most of our meeting on the hill that he loves so much. Next time Brendan.

Well this was a night to remember. Tonight 7-10pm was a extra meeting to keep all our Trackers involved with us. The evening was planned around Colt who is involved in Baseball for awhile and has missed a few meetings. However, with the way it went we will do this every month. We all had a blast and slept like logs that nite. It started with just hanging out around the fire. Once the fire was well stalked it was into the puddle to join the little Trackers Tiana and Amber who were well ahead of the others on getting wet. With all the rain yesterday we were left with a huge puddle a foot deep in the middle and 50ft wide. For 2 1/2 hours the girls played in the puddle with there rubber boots on, needless to say that was useless. They giggled and splashed until they were wet from head to toe. The other Trackers were back and forth between the fire and the puddle. Dustin, Zach and Colt were the ones who built a fire that outlasted the rainstorm that nite, as it was still going in the morning. Good job guys. We will be looking forward to our next friday nite.

Tonite we visited Keystone Farms. This was a definite treat, as we were invited to see some newborn goat's. When we arrived, we went into one area where the goat's were gathered. Bill showed us the two boys and all the girls, but best of all we were able to see many baby goats as young as a few days. We could watch as a baby called it's mom and it's mom would answer. Amazing, considering how many goats were in there. We then followed the goats out to pasture and saw many things going on like belly scratching, tree scratching, chin scratching and Donkeys. Donkeys, two of them. Jenny and Jackson so cute. The kids were very interested in them and had lots of questions for bill. At first we did not know if we would be able to pet them. However, thanks to Brendan and Tiana who were able to get Jackson over to them we were all able to see jackson up close. We took turns feeding Jackson grass and came to the conclusion that it was marks camera that attracted Jackson to us. We found out that it is not his first appearance in the paper. We would all like to thank Bill again, we appreciate your support in our interests. TRACKERS.

Conner suggested that we examine Moss tonight. After writing in his notebook the idea, we planned our evening accordingly. When you take the time to sit and enjoy nature it is amazing. While examining Moss you see that there are many worlds around us. Our world, the water world and the minature world of Moss. Tall trees and shrubs, flowers and more. After 45 min we all dashed for cover as the rain fell in buckets.

As we Watched for new growth. We notice under careful examination that new growth was everywhere, in the form of flowers. Many of the trees we look at were now blooming. The Trackers learned that blooms will turn into fruit. we found approx 15 different flowers and soon we will have 15 different types of fruit. It was hard for Tiana to understand that if you pick the flower there will be no fruit.

This was a weird day as everyone arrived at a different time and some were home enjoying the weather. So some discussion time was needed, we talked about new adventures and played some games on and around the structure. Play Day!!!
