Animals of the 10 Acre Woods

Above is a picture of our hobby farm. Here you can see we have built the rabbit hutchs and the chicken coup in an enclosed yard. Our future plans include the expansion of this space to include a pond and waterfall. This area is monitored by our family dog Max.
Here is our duck link. We currently have three types, Rouen, Muscoveys & Pekin. A wonderful addition to our hobby farm as they are very affectionate animals. You will also see how we made out incubating our first batch of eggs.
We have a number of different types of chickens. Chickens were our second addition to the petting area. We started with three breads, and quickly fell in love with others as well. We added some different ones along the way.
Deer
During our first mornings as country folks we were blessed by the visit of some local deer. From time to time we see them feeding in our yard. It was a sign that we are where we belong. We would not trade the chance to see this, for city life ever again.
In September 2004 we added a couple types of pigeons, a pair of Old German Owls, and a pairof Laquer Sheild Owls. In September of 2005 we added a pair of Dutch Capuchin Pigeons.
We have four Pigmy goats. Here is our male (Cooper) with his daughter (snowy).
Here is "Smoke" our male Shetland Pony.
