Where can I swim in the ocean... ?
A beautiful, peaceful secluded beach is a minute from the cottage. With sand dunes, cliffs and a stream from the river, kids of all ages will leave with fond memories. There are several other beaches to explore just a short drive away. A local favorite is Basin Head beach on the south side of the island - 15 minutes east of Souris.
Where can I find fresh lobster... ?
Depending on the season - you can go to Naufrage Harbor (five minutes away) in the morning when the boats arrive. At the wharf in Souris there is a packing plant that also sells live and cooked lobsters. A new fresh fish market is open on causeway in St. Peters.
How far is the cottage from the Confederation bridge... ?
Drive east on Rte. 2 to Charlottetown, continue on same route to St. Peters then take Rte. 16 to cottage. Total trip will take appx 1.5 hours.

What about shopping for groceries ... ?
IGA and Co-Op stores available in Souris. You can generally find a better selection in Montague; Sobeys and Superstore; only a 30-minute drive away. Most larger stores are now open on Sundays during summer months.
On the Island, Golf is king! Enjoy a relaxing 9 holes at Rollo Bay (5 minutes away) or play the full 18 at Crowbush, one of the top 10 courses in Canada (20 minutes away). There are also several smaller courses located practically everywhere. Check link for full listing > GOLF
