Little Mountain Sportsplex is the proud
home and sponsor of the Little Mountain
Sports Association. The LMSA hosts
a great 7 & 3 COED Slo-Pitch league
which runs from April 28, 2008 through
to August 21, 2008. For more
information, read the following:
Our LMSA Co-ed Slo-Pitch league consists
of 17 double-header league games (played
once a week on the day of your choice
your choice), two free tournaments and
play-offs. The season runs from April
28, 2008-August 21, 2008. Play-Offs are
dated for August 22, 23, and 24, 2008.
Registration is $650.00 for
Monday-Thursday slots. If paid in full
by the night of the Captain’s
meeting Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 7
PM at Little Mountain Sportsplex,
your team will receive two free nacho
platters ($24.00 value) and a chance to
win half-off your registration.
As mentioned
earlier, there will be two free
tournaments in which your team will
compete. Both the quarter and mid-season
tournaments will be included in the cost
of your registrations. All guaranteed
round robin games will count as regular
season games. The quarter-season
tournament will be held on
May 9,
10, and 11, 2008 and the
mid-season tournament will be held on
June
13, 14, and 15, 2008.
Teams will be guaranteed minimum 4
games per tournament. Tournament prizing
will consist of cash, trophies, apparel
and numerous other prizes provided by
sponsors. Please tell your teams these
dates immediately to assure your team
will be in attendance during these
times.
Another first for
the “Little Mountain League”, 2008 will
welcome divisions. Competitive,
Intermediate and Recreational divisions
will be offered to all teams to start
the season. There will be two division
realignments during the season. All,
our standings, our quarter season
tournament and our mid-season tournament
will be used to realign divisions. Both
of the two alignments being done the
week after our tournaments have
concluded. This will allow better
competition and closer scoring games.
In order to better
organize our league, for the first time
at Little Mountain Sportsplex, umpire
fees will be paid upfront in three equal
payments of $200.00 throughout the
season. If umpire fees are not paid on
or before their due date, this will
result in loss of performance bond, and
losses for all subsequent games. It is
very important to have your payments
made on or before these dates:
First installment: April 16, 2008
($200.00).
Second installment: Before your games,
the week of June 2, 2008 ($200.00)
Third installment: Before your games,
the week of July 8, 2008 ($200.00)
All park rules
remain unchanged from last year. No
tail-gating or open liquor will be
permitted. Those caught by the
enforcing marshal’s will lose their
teams bonds. If an MLCC Inspector is
involved in any altercations involving
breach of MLCC regulations, the team at
fault will be dealt with accordingly.
