Introduction:
Laverne & Shirley first aired in January 1976. It was a spin-off from "Happy Days", which Laverne and Shirley appeared on as Fonzie's friends. They often gueststarred on each other's shows.
Story:
Laverne Defazio & Shirley Feeney
are two best friends who share an apartment. Shirley has a lifetime companion, Boo Boo
Kitty, and Laverne drinks milk & pepsi and always marks her property with her famous L 's. They are both workers at Shotz Brewery, along
with their friends Lenny and Squiggy. Lenny and Squiggy share an apartment above the girls
and lead very strange lives. Lenny wears a red jacket that once read "One Wolf"
which Laverne changed into "Lone
Wolf". Lenny and Squiggy have a tendency to appear in the girl's doorway with a loud
"Hello!" when anything yucky, gross or insulting is mentioned. Eddna Babbish
owns the apartments, and later marries Frank DeFazio, Laverne's Dad. Frank is a
short-tempered Italian who owns the popular Pizza Bowl. 
Laverne and Shirley also help him out there and
bowl in their free time. Shirley ("Angelface") is Carmine Ragusa's (The Big
Ragoo's) "best girl", although she will not commit to him. Carmine is always
entertaining an audience (singing and dancing) at the Pizza Bowl. The 5 friends are often
together getting into and out of schemes.
